You Got the Interview. Now The Recruiter Asks You, “Tell me about yourself…”
And suddenly:
You Know Your Experience. You’re Not Sure Which Part They Need to Hear.
“Tell me about yourself” sounds simple until you’re trying to decide what’s relevant, how much context to give, and where to stop.
You’re not just answering the question. You’re trying to help the interviewer see why you’re the right person for this role.
And the frustrating part?
The Interview Isn’t Showing Them How Good You Actually Are.
You Start Talking... and Lose the Point.
More context. Another example. One more detail. Now you’re not sure what the original question was.
You Prepare So Much You Sound Rehearsed.
You write the perfect answer, memorize it, and then the interviewer asks the question slightly differently.
Talking About Yourself Feels Weird.
You can explain the work. Selling your accomplishments without feeling like you’re bragging? Harder.
You Give Too Much
One answer becomes five minutes. The next ends with, “Did that answer your question?”
JOB INTERVIEWS ARE 80% PREPARED, 20% IMPROV
Most professionals spend all their time on the 20% they can't control, and none on the 80% they can.
Here's the 80% we prepare together:
✓ Your strongest work achievements
✓ The point you want the interviewer to remember
✓ A structure for behavioral and situational questions
✓ How to talk about your accomplishments
✓ How to handle the question you didn’t expect
Once those pieces are ready, we practice putting them together, until it sounds like you, not a script you memorized.

WHAT WE WORK ON
✓ Your Interview Story Bank
We pull out the projects, wins, challenges, mistakes, and decisions you can use when they ask, “Tell me about a time when…”
✓ Behavioral + Situational Questions
We practice the questions that make you think on your feet, without writing a tiny screenplay for every possible scenario.
✓ Answer Structures You Can Actually Remember
A clear way to organize your answer so you know where to start, what matters, and when you’re done talking.
✓ Your Toughest Questions
The gap. The pivot. The layoff. The accomplishment you hate talking about. The question that usually makes your brain leave the building.
✓ Real Interview Practice
Phone, virtual, panel, and final-round interviews, with practice that feels closer to the conversation you’re actually walking into.
✓ Direct Feedback
Where you rambled. Where the strongest part got buried. Where you sounded rehearsed. And what to change before the real interview.
I Don’t Teach You to Memorize Better Answers. I Teach You How to Think Through the Interview.
Meet Your Public Speaking Coach
Before I became a communication and interview coach, I worked directly with students and professionals figuring out how to turn their experience into a career story employers could understand.
I’ve worked in career services at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Florida, helping students across technical, scientific, and professional fields prepare for job searches, interviews, and career transitions.
I’m also a Certified Career Services Provider through the National Career Development Association and have coached job seekers through workshops, trainings, and 1:1 support.
My approach is practical: we work on how to organize your experience, choose the right story, answer tough questions, and communicate your value without sounding rehearsed.
You bring the experience. I help make sure the interviewer actually hears it

Your Job Interview Coaching Questions, Answered
How much does job interview coaching cost?
Job interview coaching is tailored to the interview, timeline, and level of support you need, so I don’t list a one-size-fits-all price.
We’ll start with a consultation call to talk about the role you’re pursuing, where you’re getting stuck, and what kind of preparation would be most useful.
If we’re a good fit, I’ll recommend the coaching option that makes sense and walk you through the investment.
Do you offer refunds?
No. All payments are non-refundable.
That’s why we talk first, so you understand the program and we both know it’s the right fit before you invest.
Do you offer technical interview coaching?
I work with plenty of people in technical roles, but I don’t coach the technical portion of the interview, like coding challenges, system design, or role-specific technical assessments.
What we can work on are the behavioral and situational questions around your technical experience:
-
“Tell me about yourself.”
-
“Tell me about a time when…”
-
“Walk me through a project you led.”
We’ll focus on choosing the right examples, organizing your answer, and helping the interviewer understand the value behind your experience.
Will job interview coaching guarantee I get the offer?
No, and I wouldn't promise that. Too much is outside either of our control: other candidates, hiring budgets, timing, and decisions happening behind the scenes.
What we can control is how clearly you communicate your experience, how prepared you are for the questions that matter, and whether the interviewer gets to see the value you actually bring. Clients I’ve coached have gone on to land roles at companies including Google, Amazon, and PNC Bank. The goal is to make sure your interview performance reflects the strength of your experience.
How soon can we start?
As soon as your investment is complete, we can get started.
If you already have an interview scheduled, bring the date to our consult so we can focus the preparation around what’s coming up first.
What types of job interviews can we prepare for?
We can prepare for phone, virtual, panel, behavioral, situational, HR screenings, and final-round interviews.
We’ll work on the questions most likely to trip you up, the stories you want ready, and how to adapt when the conversation goes somewhere you didn’t expect.
